Myofascial Release

60 minutes: $85.00
90 minutes: $120.00

The John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach® is the only form of myofascial release that is a gentle, yet very powerful and effective, hands-on treatment that engages the entire three-dimensional fascial web.  The fascial system is the largest system in the body, touching everything in our bodies from our skin, muscles, ligaments/tendons, bones, nerves, blood and lymph vessels and every individual cell in our bodies.  As an advanced-level  John Barnes therapist, I am trained to find restrictions in the body, which are causing pain and/or restricting movement, and hold these restrictions for at least 5 minutes or longer; holding the release for 5 minutes allows enough time for the fascial tubules to release and more importantly, allows enough time for the collagenous ground substance component of the fascia to rehydrate, allowing surrounding tissue, structures and cells to return to a more healthy state. It is this 5 minute hold of the tissue after the fascia releases that sets JFB MFR apart from other forms of body work, including other forms of "myofascial release."

I do not accept insurance, but do accept cash, credit card or personal check.

If you are having financial difficulties, please contact me regarding your situation in order that we can discuss it. I believe that every person should have access to quality medical care, regardless of their financial situation, and I will do my best to work with anyone who contacts me in need of treatment.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

60 minutes: $85.00
90 minutes: $120.00

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on treatment used to affect and improve the functioning of the craniosacral system, which is made up of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord; it is implemented along with Myofascial Release.

This is a very gentle hands-on technique in which restrictions in the craniosacral system are released using very gentle pressure, which improves the functioning of the central nervous system. CST is used frequently as a preventative treatment, as it has been shown to assist the body in bolstering its resistance to disease. CST is also a very effective treatment for a wide range of symptoms and medical problems, associated with pain and dysfunction, including:

* Migraine headaches

*Chronic neck and back pain

*Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

*Fibromyalgia and other connective tissue disorders

*Emotional Difficulties

*Stress and tension related problems

Myofascial Release Stretching Session

60 minutes: $80.00
30 minutes: $40.00

Stretching the fascial system in order to release restrictions within the interconnected fascial web, is completely different than the way we are usually taught to stretch, which is why we usually feel tight again a few hours after stretching.  During our Myofascial Release Stretching Session, I will educate you on the largest system in the body, the fascial system, and how to correctly release restrictions within your fascial that your body will feel more flexible, youthful, light and less prone to injury.
